Product Description

This premium Wimshurst electrostatic generator converts mechanical energy into electrostatic potential energy, producing sparks of up to 75,000 volts. The device features two 12-inch transparent plastic plates with aluminum foil sectors that rotate in opposite directions via a belt mechanism. Two included Leyden jar condensers store the accumulated charge.

The unit is mounted on a sturdy ABS base and stands approximately 15.75 inches tall. An experiment guide with setup instructions, experiments, discussion topics, and student activities is included. The Wimshurst machine is ideal for demonstrating electrostatic principles, capacitance, and creating visually striking electrical discharges in physics classrooms.
