Product Description

This set of four hooked metal cylinders includes brass, aluminum, steel, and copper specimens, each measuring 2 inches (50 mm) in length and 0.5 inches (12.5 mm) in diameter. Each cylinder is fitted with a top hook for convenient lifting from water or massing with a spring scale (not included).

An instruction manual is included with background information on density, specific gravity, and specific heat, along with inquiry-based student activities and capture sheets. Manufactured with tolerances in the plus or minus 5% range. Some surface oxidation may occur over time and can be removed by light scuffing.
