Product Description

This 4-stroke diesel hand-crank engine model stands 16 inches tall and demonstrates engine basics through actuating movable parts. Turning the hand crank actuates the crankshaft, cam, cam gear, connecting rods, piston, intake/exhaust valves, rocker arms, push rods, and fuel pump to demonstrate the four stages of diesel motor operation. The ignition light and glow plug can be activated using a 6V power supply (not included).

Identifiable parts include crank case, crankshaft, connecting rod, cylinder, piston, intake/exhaust valves, glow candle, exhaust manifold, camshaft gear, injection pump, governor, supply line, cylinder pump, piston pump, pressure valve, delivery pipe, suction sub, air filter, injection nozzle, nozzle body and needle, pressure bolt, pressure socket, and oil return. Made from cast alloys and ABS plastic for years of demonstrations. Suitable for automotive and physics classrooms studying internal combustion engines.
