## Product Description

Prepared with bioreagent-grade sodium chloride and ASTM Type 1 water, this 500 mL 0.9% saline solution is a ready-to-use isotonic reference for osmosis, tonicity, microscopy, and instructional laboratory applications. Its 0.9% sodium chloride concentration is near the osmolarity of mammalian blood plasma and tissue fluid, making it useful for comparing cellular responses to solutions of different concentrations.

The solution is filtered through a 0.1 µm PES membrane, a finer pore size than the standard 0.2 µm filtration used for laboratory solutions. It is supplied as a clear, colorless liquid in a 500 mL PET bottle with a polypropylene screw cap and requires no mixing or dilution. The non-sterile solution supports red blood cell crenation and hemolysis studies, Elodea and red onion plasmolysis investigations, wet mount preparation, serial dilutions, and plate count procedures in teaching laboratories. For laboratory use only; not for drug, food, or household use.
