Build-to-order products follow a different path than items shipped from the warehouse in Honeoye Falls, NY.

Why Some Products Are Build-to-Order

The Lab Stockroom carries more than 9,000 products, and most are stocked in the warehouse and ship same or next business day. Some items, especially specialized equipment, less common glassware sizes, and certain demonstration apparatus, are produced in smaller quantities.

Offering these as build-to-order gives you access to a wider range of products than stocking alone would allow. The tradeoff is a longer lead time, which is shown upfront so you can plan around it.
